Again in the tenth district: A teenager stabs with a knife!
A new incident reflects the daily reality of life in the Favoriten area: On Sunday evening around 5:40 PM, a man called for police assistance claiming he had been stabbed in Reumannplatz.
The victim, a 33-year-old Syrian man, was assisted by the Vienna rescue service and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
During the investigations at the crime scene, the police managed to arrest a 15-year-old Syrian teenager near the crime site. He was immediately taken to the police station for questioning, where he strongly denied his involvement in the stabbing. According to his statements, there had been tension between him and the older man for days, and he claimed that he was also stabbed by the victim during those disputes.
Based on this, and under the direction of the public prosecutor in Vienna, both parties have been charged with serious bodily harm, and the teenager has been temporarily released. Investigations are still ongoing to uncover the circumstances and unclear motives behind this incident.
