Final election results: D66 is the largest party, and the distribution of seats has not changed.

The Dutch parliamentary elections have concluded with D66 officially winning as the largest party. According to the final results released by the Electoral Council, D66 will receive 26 seats in the House of Representatives, the same number of seats as the PVV led by Geert Wilders, with a narrow margin of only 29,668 votes.

The VVD party enters the House of Representatives with 22 members, while the GroenLinks-PvdA coalition wins 20 seats, and the CDA has 18 seats. The New Social Contract party will disappear from parliament, while 50PLUS returns with two seats.

The remaining parties received the following seats: JA21 9 seats, Forum for Democracy 7, BBB 4, SP 3, ChristenUnie 3, SGP 3, Party for the Animals 3, DENK 3, and Volt 1 seat. The results reflect the balance of parties compared to the previous term.

Five candidates managed to win seats thanks to preferential votes, despite their low ranking on party lists. This includes Fatiha Abdi, Mikail Tsegay, Lisa Fleghart, and Barbara Kathmann from GroenLinks-PvdA, and Marieke Velinga-Pimsteboor from D66. Their success came at the expense of other candidates like Wilmar Polhuis, raising questions about equality and democratic representation.

D66 leader Rob Jetten celebrated victory with his new parliamentary faction, noting that although the party topped the votes, the distribution of seats ensures continuity in Dutch politics.
