Decline of SPD and strong rise of CDU/CSU!
A new opinion poll in Germany shows that the CDU/CSU alliance is making significant progress in voting intentions, reaching 28%, the highest level since the last parliamentary elections. This was reported by the newspaper "Bild am Sonntag", based on the results of the "Sonntagstrend" poll conducted periodically by the Insa Institute.
According to the poll, if the parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, the CDU/CSU would receive 28% of the votes, an increase of one percentage point from last week. In contrast, the popularity of the SPD party has dropped to 16%, and the Die Linke party to 9%, with a loss of one percentage point for each.
The results for the AfD party remained at 23%, while the Die Grünen party stood at 11%. The BSW and FDP parties each remained at 4%. Other parties recorded 5%, an increase of one percentage point.
This survey was conducted between June 16 and 20, 2025, and included 1,205 citizens from across Germany.
