The AFD party embarrasses itself: Social aid recipients... are Germans!
The AfD party has found itself in a predicament after official data revealed that most recipients of Bürgergeld have traditional German names, which completely contradicts its narrative that foreigners exploit the system.
In an attempt to confirm its suspicions, the AfD requested data from the German Ministry of Labor regarding the most common names among recipients of Bürgergeld. However, it was surprised by results that politically embarrassed it: the top three names were Michael with 19,200 recipients, Andreas with 16,200, and Thomas with 15,700, all of which are German names.
The first non-German name to appear in fifth place is Olena (Olena) with 14,400 beneficiaries, followed by Ahmad (Ahmad) with 13,700, Ali (Ali) with 13,500, Mohammad (Mohammad) with 12,500, and Iryna (Iryna) with 10,600. These figures clearly refuted the party's claim that 'foreigners dominate the support system.'
This data comes amid rising political controversy over Bürgergeld. The Union parties seek to abolish it and replace it with the 'basic guarantee', while the SPD opposes it.
As for the AfD, it considers the system a burden and demands that the unemployed be required to do "community work". However, it seems that the party's attempt to prove its claims showed the exact opposite, making it a subject of ridicule and sharp criticism.
