Luis Pobga, the leader of the Green Youth in Bavaria, caused a political uproar after posting a video on Instagram in which he referred to Markus Söder, the Prime Minister of Bavaria, as a 'son of a whore.'
In the clip, a parrot mimics the lyrics of a rap song by the rapper Haftbefehl titled 'Conan x Xenia', while showing an image of Söder rapping about his proposal to merge the economically weaker federal states with the larger ones. The video included a comment that read 'With best regards to Bavaria', and a text criticizing Söder's policies as 'disastrous'.
The ruling parties CSU and Free Voters condemned the video. Parliamentary group leaders Klaus Holchik and Florian Streibl described the behavior of the parrot as "incredible" and demanded his immediate resignation, considering that insulting a prime minister in this way undermines democratic debate and is inconsistent with responsible political participation.
Louis Bobga, 23 years old, took office as the leader of the Green Youth in Bavaria in October 2025, and also serves as a federal press spokesperson. He studies international migration and mutual cultural relations, but his recent actions have sparked widespread criticism from political leaders.
