Syrians and Ukrainians attack a 13-year-old Austrian boy

The German city of Lindau witnessed a serious act of violence on Friday evening, where a 13-year-old Austrian boy was attacked by a group inside the ZUP bus station after a verbal altercation with one of the assailants.

According to the newspaper "Bild", four minors are suspected of being involved in the attack, including two Syrian brothers and two Ukrainian children, all residing in the Austrian state of Vorarlberg. They are believed to have taken emergency equipment from a public bus and used it to hit the child until he fell to the ground.

The police reported that a call was received before ten o'clock at night indicating that a group of young people was attacking a child inside the station. The attackers fled immediately after carrying out the assault, leading to a wide search operation involving the Lindau police, federal police, and border police.

The injured child was taken to the hospital immediately, and it later turned out that he had not sustained serious injuries despite the continuous beating and kicking. After combing the area, the police found the suspects hiding behind a building belonging to the criminal police, 300 meters from the attack site.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the incident began with a verbal dispute between the victim and the 13-year-old Ukrainian child. Investigations are still ongoing to determine the circumstances of the attack and the role of each participant in it.
