Postponement of the release of Jeffrey Epstein case files.
The release of files related to the case of Jeffrey Epstein, the convicted American businessman for human trafficking and sexual assault who died in 2019, has been delayed. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi revealed in a letter to FBI Director Kash Patel that additional materials related to the case have emerged at the FBI. Bondi instructed that all files must be delivered by Friday morning.
Bondi had previously announced her intention to publish the entire file, expecting it to include information about flights and names associated with the case. Although part of the materials was published, the content did not go beyond previously known information, as the list of victims, totaling 254, was fully encrypted to protect their identities.
Political pressure has increased in Washington from both parties to release files that were previously withheld by court order. It is noted that Epstein lured girls, some of whom were minors, into prostitution at his properties in New York and his Caribbean island, where he hosted prominent figures and wealthy individuals. He died in custody before any judgment was made against him.
