Vienna police publish a picture of a criminal and promise a reward of up to 5000 euros for anyone who reports him.
Vienna police are intensively pursuing an unidentified man who carried out an armed robbery at a supermarket on Brünner Straße, where he had hidden inside the store even after it closed on the evening of August 9. After the doors were locked, he threatened the employees with a gun and forced them to open the safe and hand over the money before fleeing.
The suspect, estimated to be between 25 and 30 years old, has a slim and youthful appearance and wears Streetsport-style clothing, including a black baseball cap, blue pants, and a dark jacket. He also wears glasses, has a mustache and light beard, and has prominent tattoos on his neck and the back of his hands. He was carrying a backpack and seems to be a fan of Oreo cookies. He is between 175 and 180 centimeters tall, has dark hair, and speaks German.
The police believe there is a connection between this incident and other unresolved armed robberies. A reward of 5,000 euros has been offered by the Vienna Police Friends Association for anyone who provides crucial information, even if it is anonymous.
