Teen gang storms hotel in Vienna – police arrest five after chase
The Maidling area in Vienna witnessed an exciting incident on Wednesday morning after a group of teenagers broke into a local hotel and occupied several rooms without permission. The story began when a hotel employee noticed strange faces and immediately reported to the police.
The police forces arrived at the site supported by a canine unit and began a comprehensive search of the building. During the raid, seven teenagers were found hiding in different places, including some rooms and even on the roof of the building.
The suspects consist of three girls and four boys aged between 13 and 16 years old, and five of them have been initially arrested for questioning.
Authorities are currently investigating how these young people managed to enter the hotel, and whether any damage or theft occurred during their stay there. It is still unclear whether what happened was just a "teen prank" or a deliberate break-in.
The incident has raised increasing concern about the rise of crimes among minors and their reckless behavior in Vienna. The police have not yet released additional details while investigations are still ongoing.
