Robberies and thefts in Berlin: Six suspects arrested

Berlin police and federal police arrested six teenagers and young adults aged between 15 and 21 after a series of thefts and assaults in the Reinickendorf and Pankow districts. The arrests came after violent incidents that lasted for hours during the night.

The series of crimes began around 1:30 AM in Reinickendorf, where a witness reported hearing a loud crash at a restaurant on Emmentaler Street. The suspects attempted to kick a hole in the window, but no items were stolen during the incident.

At around 2:10 AM, a 25-year-old man was assaulted on Provinzstrasse. The suspects demanded money, knocked him to the ground, and kicked him before stealing his waist bag. The man suffered a broken nose and required external treatment.

At around 2:35 AM, a 59-year-old man was assaulted on Schulzestraße in the Pankow district, where he was beaten and had his wallet and valuables stolen. The man sustained minor injuries and refused medical treatment. Later, the federal police noticed suspicious activity around parked cars on Kühnemann Street, leading to the arrest of a 20-year-old man and the confiscation of a Toyota Corolla with a broken side window.

After extensive investigations, the remaining five suspects were arrested. The police seized a protective mask and an emergency hammer from a 21-year-old man. All six detainees were handed over to the criminal investigations department, and investigations are still ongoing regarding this series of crimes.
