Right-wing extremists are getting younger and becoming more dangerous

Security experts in Germany warn of a serious rise in the phenomenon of far-right extremism, especially among young people. An internal security report has shown that the ages of extremists are decreasing, and there is an increase in the number of minors who show a willingness to use violence and engage in terrorist activities.

Security authorities indicate that these minors are often at an age where their values are still unstable, making them an easy target for extremist propaganda. Chat groups on the 'Telegram' app – known in security circles as 'Terrorgram' – are among the most dangerous environments where these youths gather, as they glorify the perpetrators of right-wing attacks and promote acts of violence.

During a security operation at the end of May, eight young men aged between 14 and 21 were arrested on charges of belonging to a new Nazi group called 'Letzte Verteidigungswelle'. Authorities believe that two members of the group carried out an arson attack on a cultural center in Brandenburg, while plans for other attacks were thwarted before they could be executed.

This development raises widespread concern among security agencies, which see these transformations as a serious indicator of the future of internal threats in the country.
