Hundreds protested in The Hague after the American and Israeli strikes on Iran
Hundreds gathered in The Hague on Saturday to protest recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people while also voicing opposition to the Iranian regime.
The demonstration took place at Malieveld in The Hague (Den Haag – The Hague), where participants began assembling around 2:00 p.m. More people continued to arrive throughout the afternoon, forming a growing crowd. Many carried Iranian flags, while others displayed Israeli flags and protest signs.
Some demonstrators held images of Reza Pahlavi (رضا بهلوي), the former Iranian crown prince, who has publicly called for an uprising against Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei (علي خامنئي). Organizers also arranged a march around the Malieveld area, scheduled to conclude later in the afternoon.
Earlier in the day, a smaller protest was held outside the Iranian embassy in The Hague, focusing on opposition to the Iranian regime. Local authorities confirmed that they facilitated both demonstrations to ensure public order and safety during the gatherings.
The protests were triggered by recent military strikes carried out by the United States and Israel, as well as ongoing reports of repression داخل إيران (inside Iran), including arrests and executions. Former U.S. President Donald Trump (دونالد ترامب) stated that the strikes targeted Iran’s missile program and encouraged citizens to challenge the leadership.
Reports from Iran described severe consequences of the attacks, including casualties and damage to civilian areas. Officials claimed that dozens of students were killed in a missile strike on a school in Minab, while residents in Tehran reported panic as airstrikes disrupted daily life and communications in several المناطق (regions).
