Fagenknischt: Rejects the alliance against the Alternative Party
The leader of the Bündnis party, Sahra Wagenknecht, firmly rejected her party's participation in any new government coalitions in the German states, especially those based solely on opposing the AfD party. She described these coalitions as "politically identity-less," considering that her stance comes in light of previous experiences that harmed the party in the states of Thüringen and Brandenburg.
Vogt-Knisch pointed out that her party made mistakes last year, especially in Thüringen, where it was exploited by other parties, linking it to alliances that did not allow it to fulfill its promises. She noted that many voters were disappointed, according to recent polls.
Fagenknecht also called on the CDU party in Sachsen-Anhalt to consider the possibility of cooperating with the AfD, describing what is known as the "barrier" against the AfD as "undemocratic stupidity that only serves the AfD."
And it warned that continuing down this path could lead to the AfD ruling alone in East Germany, due to the lack of partners willing to ally with it.
