Pentagon releases first UFO documents from the USA
The US Department of Defense has released its first documents about UFOs. This makes official files accessible to the public for the first time. The release had previously been ordered by President Donald Trump in February.
According to information from the US, this is an initial batch of documents. That means that more documents will probably follow. The files concern reports and information about unidentified flying objects.
The release is being described as an important step toward greater transparency. For many years, there has been strong interest in UFOs in the US and in possible government information about them. That is why the release of the documents was followed closely by many people.
With this step, the Pentagon has begun making previously non-public information accessible. It is still unclear exactly what new findings the documents will bring. It also remains open when further files will be released.
The release of the UFO documents shows that the topic continues to remain politically and publicly important in the US. In the coming weeks, it could become clearer what information the files contain and what significance they have.
