A children's quarrel turns into a battle with a hundred people!
A minor dispute between children over a football on Tuesday evening in the Reinickendorf area of Berlin escalated into a mass brawl involving around a hundred people. According to a statement from the Berlin police, two children aged 11 and 12 were playing football in a field on Zobeltitzstraße when they got into an argument with a third child aged 12, who reportedly kept taking the ball from them.
The verbal altercation between the children quickly escalated into a physical fight, prompting many of their family members to intervene. The police reported that some of these relatives, including the mothers of the three boys and the sister of the third child, participated in the brawl, with the sister even throwing stones.
When the police arrived at the scene, the situation had spiraled out of control, as about a hundred people had gathered, and the atmosphere seemed tense and charged. The police had to call in 16 patrols to separate the two sides.
During the confrontations, a 46-year-old man punched a 17-year-old young man in the face and pulled out a knife. Two police officers intervened and pointed their weapons at him to force him to drop the knife, and he was temporarily detained to identify his identity before being released later. The police managed to calm the situation around 7:20 PM.
As for the two children who were playing at first, they complained of pain but refused to undergo medical treatment. Meanwhile, the third child was taken to the hospital due to a head injury and pain and difficulty breathing, and he was in a bad psychological state as a result of the events.
