300,000 fans are heading to the Formula 1 race in Styria.

From June 26 to 29, 2025, the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg (Styria) will turn into a hub of excitement with the Formula 1 race. Up to 300,000 fans from Austria and beyond are expected to attend, prompting authorities to implement strict security measures and ensure smooth organization of the event and traffic flow.

A formal field command has been established under the supervision of the governor of the Murtal region, Nina Boltzl, where the police coordinate all operations from ground to aerial surveillance. Officer Andreas Tavait leads the security efforts around the Red Bull Ring. Visitors have been urged to use public transport to avoid congestion, with bus services available from various states, in addition to local shuttle buses. Train travelers can disembark at Knittelfeld station, where free buses will take them to the event site.

Visitors who prefer to arrive by bicycle will find designated parking clearly marked. Those arriving by car are advised to allow extra time due to road works on Semmering Schnellstraße (S6), Knoten St. Michael, and the surrounding area of Leoben. Campers are recommended to arrive on Wednesday or Thursday, as departures are expected to start on Sunday evening after 8 PM.

Strict security rules are enforced throughout the event site: the use of fireworks or drones is prohibited, whether in the arena or camping areas. Security forces are deployed to enforce these rules, along with a police checkpoint next to the start/finish platform, operating around the clock and responding via the numbers 133 or 112.
