A youth gang consisting of Turks, Afghans, Austrians, and an Iranian tortures and sexually assaults three boys in Vienna.

After weeks of intensive investigations, the police in Vienna announced the dismantling of a youth gang accused of committing violent and serious sexual assaults against three boys aged between 15 and 16 in the Donaustadt area.

The events began on October 5, when a number of men were gathered at a food stall in the Gewerbepark Stadlau area, where teenagers riding electric bikes caused chaos and acted aggressively, prompting those present to object. In response, the youth group attacked the men and assaulted them, resulting in serious injuries, including fractures and head injuries.

The next day, a 17-year-old girl, the daughter of one of the victims, along with her friend, identified one of the suspects while he was with two others who were not involved in the first incident. At that point, the gang, consisting of nine members, violently attacked the three boys.

According to the investigations, the assaults were not limited to beating and theft, but also included a serious sexual assault on one of the victims. The gang also filmed the assaults using mobile phones and later posted the clips on social media.

The victims were transported to the hospital suffering from fractures and severe bodily injuries and concussions, while it was reported that one of them lost consciousness due to the severity of the assault.

Thanks to the video recordings, the police were able to identify the suspects and arrest them. According to the authorities, five individuals have been placed in pre-trial detention, including a 14-year-old boy with Turkish nationality, a 15-year-old boy with Afghan nationality, two 17-year-old young men with Austrian nationality, and a 19-year-old young man with Iranian nationality.

Charges have also been filed without arrest against four others, including a 16-year-old Austrian boy, a 14-year-old girl with Slovak nationality, and two Austrian girls aged 15 and 17, with investigations indicating that the 17-year-old girl is six months pregnant by one of the main accused.

Investigations are still ongoing under the supervision of the Public Prosecution, with the confirmation that the presumption of innocence remains in effect until final judicial rulings are issued.
