Unemployed in his twenties, he refuses jobs and demands a pension.
A young German named Pascal, who appeared in the documentary program "Hartz und herzlich" on RTLZWEI, sparked a wide wave of anger and controversy after he announced his outright refusal to work and demanded retirement at the age of 23.
At a time when Germany is discussing gradually raising the retirement age from 65 to 67, Pascal surprised everyone with his intention to retire early despite never having worked a day in his life. He stated during a television program that he "does not want to work at all," and succeeded in avoiding labor office procedures through some tricks.
Although he started several rehabilitation programs from the labor office, he quickly withdrew from them, claiming that long distances and difficulty dealing with others were the reasons. He said: "I made several attempts, but people were not cooperative, so I withdrew immediately." Pascal continued to challenge the system, saying: "I do not want to continue this childish game. Either we find a solution together or I look for another way."
In an attempt to cheat job offers, Pascal decided to apply for retirement despite his young age. However, a doctor participating in the program confronted him with the truth, saying: "You are still young, and you can actually work." Pascal's behavior sparked outrage among viewers, as many expressed their dissatisfaction on social media. One wrote: "He can work in a call center or from home. His behavior is unacceptable!" while another described him as "the prince waiting for a luxury apartment without lifting a finger."
Another user harshly criticized him in a YouTube video saying: "A young man in his early twenties, refusing any kind of work, yet he doesn't hesitate to go to the office to demand money. He wants an immediate retirement as if he is in dreamland. How bold and disrespectful can a person be?".
