Argentina authorizes Israeli airline EL AL to operate scheduled flights
The government of Argentina, through the Undersecretariat of Air Transport, has officially granted authorization to EL AL Israel Airlines to operate scheduled flights in the country. This measure allows the company to provide international passenger and cargo services between Argentina and Israel on a regular basis.
Previously, air connections between the two nations were more limited or required frequent stopovers in other countries. With this new authorization, the Israeli flag carrier will be able to establish a fixed frequency, which will facilitate direct transport and improve the logistics of goods between the two points.
The decision is part of an effort to strengthen commercial and tourism ties between South America and the Middle East. By allowing a new international airline to enter the local market, authorities expect competition to increase and options to diversify for users traveling for personal or business reasons.
Aviation industry experts indicate that this opening is a positive step for Argentina's global connectivity. Although specific schedules have yet to be defined, the resolution is now official and marks the beginning of a new stage in the aviation relationship between both states.
