US Accuses Russia of Failing to Provide Assistance to Armenia
The United States has stated that Russia has "turned its back" on Armenia. According to Washington, Moscow has failed to fulfill its obligations as an ally, which has caused serious problems in the region. This statement was made in the context of new discussions regarding regional security.
The US State Department notes that they are now actively working with Armenia. Washington's main goal is to help Yerevan reduce its dependence on Russia. This applies to both the economic sphere and security issues, which are vital for the country's sovereignty.
Recently, a noticeable tension has emerged in the relations between Armenia and Russia. The Armenian side has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction that the Russian side did not take sufficient steps during border tensions. In this situation, the support offered by the US is seen as an alternative opportunity for Armenia.
Despite these new developments, Armenia continues to remain in a complex geopolitical situation. The country is trying to balance its foreign policy by cooperating with both the West and traditional partners. The coming months will show how the balance of power and regional stability will change.
