US accuses Russia of turning its back on Armenia
The United States has stated that Russia has stopped supporting Armenia during its difficult moments. In Washington's view, Moscow has "turned its back" on its ally, which is causing serious changes in regional politics.
Given this situation, the US is trying to take steps to reduce Armenia's dependence on Russia. American officials note that their goal is to help Armenia become more independent and self-reliant in its foreign policy decisions.
Recently, relations between Armenia and Russia have become more tense. The Armenian side has repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction that Russia and the CSTO failed to fulfill their security obligations. This has allowed the United States and Europe to assume a more active role in the South Caucasus.
The United States continues to discuss new programs that will strengthen Armenia's economy and security system. Although this process may take a long time, it aims to significantly change the region's geopolitical situation and reduce Moscow's influence.
