US Tries to Reduce Armenia's Dependence on Russia
The United States has stated that Russia has turned its back on Armenia. For this reason, Washington is taking new steps to help Armenia become a more independent and sovereign state.
According to American officials, Russia has not fulfilled its obligations as an ally. This has become particularly noticeable during regional events that have taken place in recent years. The US believes that Moscow is no longer a reliable partner for Yerevan.
Washington is now working on various programs that will help reduce Armenia's dependence on Russia. This support applies to both the economy and the security sector. The US wants Armenia to have more choices on the international stage.
The Armenian government has also begun to cooperate more closely with the West. Yerevan is trying to diversify its foreign policy. This means establishing new ties with Europe and America while maintaining the country's security and interests.
Despite these changes, the situation in the region remains complex. Political competition between the US and Russia could have a major impact on Armenia's future. Nevertheless, Washington promises to continue its support for Armenia's democracy and economic development.
