US Accuses Russia of Abandoning Armenia
Recently, the United States has made an important statement regarding the relations between Armenia and Russia. Washington claims that Russia has "turned its back" on Armenia and is no longer fulfilling its alliance obligations as it did before.
Due to this situation, the United States is trying to take new steps in the region. Washington's main goal is to reduce Armenia's dependence on Russia in various sectors, including economy and security issues. The US wants to support Yerevan so that the country can be more independent in its foreign policy decisions.
According to the American side, Russia's actions or lack thereof are forcing Armenia to seek new partners. The United States believes that to ensure stability in the region, it is necessary to review old ties and create new opportunities for cooperation with the West.
These developments show that the political situation in the South Caucasus is undergoing serious changes. It is not yet clear how Moscow will react to these statements and what the final direction of Armenia's foreign policy will be in the near future.
