US criticizes Russia and supports Armenia's independence
Recently, the United States has made an important statement regarding the relations between Armenia and Russia. Washington noted that Russia has "turned its back" on its ally, Armenia. In this situation, the US aims to reduce Armenia's dependence on Russia.
According to the American side, Russia has not fulfilled its obligations as a security partner. This has become particularly noticeable during recent regional events. US officials believe that Moscow is no longer a reliable partner for Yerevan, which is forcing Armenia to seek new paths.
For this reason, Washington is taking steps to strengthen cooperation with Armenia. The main goal of the US is to help the country diversify its foreign policy and economy. This will enable Armenia to make decisions more freely and not be under the influence of only one state.
Thus, relations between Armenia and Russia continue to remain tense. The United States declares that it will continue to support Armenia's sovereignty and democracy. For Armenia, this is a new opportunity to expand its ties with the international community and strengthen its positions in the region.
