Chinese car brand LEPAS plans market entry in Austria
The Chinese automotive manufacturer Chery Group is preparing for an expansion into the European market. As the company has now announced, the LEPAS brand, which specializes in so-called new-energy SUVs, is set to be available in Austria in the coming years.
The official sales launch for the new vehicle models is planned for the first quarter of 2027. With this move, the Chery Group aims to further expand its presence in Europe and offer Austrian customers a new selection of electrified or hybrid SUVs.
The LEPAS brand focuses primarily on modern drive technologies for its vehicles. In doing so, the manufacturer is responding to the rising demand for more environmentally friendly vehicles, which are also playing an increasingly important role in the Austrian automotive market.
Although the market launch is still some time away, preparations for distribution are already beginning. Experts are observing the entry of Chinese brands into the European region with great interest, as competition is increasing significantly due to new providers.
Interested buyers and automotive fans in Austria will therefore have to wait until 2027 to see the first LEPAS models on domestic roads. Until then, the manufacturer will announce further details regarding the model range and pricing.
