30 Years of the Europa-Forum Wachau: An Anniversary for European Dialogue
From May 18 to 22, 2026, the 30th Europa-Forum Wachau will take place in Lower Austria. This special anniversary marks an important milestone for one of the most renowned discussion platforms in Europe. For three decades, the forum has served as a meeting point for political decision-makers, experts, and citizens to deliberate on the future of the European Union.
The event in the Wachau region is known for its open exchange regarding current European challenges. This year, numerous representatives from politics and business are expected to attend to discuss topics such as security, economic stability, and cooperation within the EU. The forum provides a protected space for direct dialogue between various interest groups.
For Austria, the forum is of great significance, as it strengthens the region as a hub for international exchange. The organizers emphasize that, especially in times of global uncertainty, personal exchange between European countries is more important than ever. The anniversary program is intended to offer both a look back at the past 30 years and a perspective on the challenges to come.
The Europa-Forum Wachau thus remains a permanent fixture on the political calendar in Austria. With its focus on constructive conversations and cross-border solutions, it makes an important contribution to European integration. Preparations for the event are already in full swing to provide guests from all over Europe with a platform for forward-looking debates.
