FH Upper Austria Becomes More International: New Name for the University
The University of Applied Sciences (FH) Upper Austria is taking a new path to become better known worldwide. In the future, the educational institution will increasingly operate under the English name “University of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.” With this repositioning, the university aims to significantly increase its international visibility.
The main reason for this step is the growing competition for the best talent. In a globalized world, a clear, internationally understandable name is very important. The FH wants to appeal to even more students, researchers, and experts from abroad and inspire them to study or work in Upper Austria.
This development is of great importance for the state of Upper Austria. The regional economy urgently needs well-trained specialists. When international students receive a high-quality education at the FH, many of them later decide on a career in local companies. This strengthens the business location and helps combat the shortage of skilled workers.
In addition to the new name, the university also plans to further modernize its research and teaching. The quality of education is to remain at the usual high level. With this step, FH Upper Austria shows that it is ready for the future and sees itself as a modern partner in the international educational landscape.
