Austrian job vacancies fall 16.6% year-on-year (123,400 openings)
Austria's labour market is cooling. Employers reported an average of 123,400 open positions between April and June — 16.6% fewer than a year earlier and 7.3% down on the previous quarter.
Fewer vacancies mean stronger competition for each role, which can be especially challenging for newcomers looking for work.
Jobseekers may want to broaden their search and make full use of AMS listings and support programmes.
