Success for science: Two spin-offs from Innsbruck receive funding
Two innovative spin-off companies from the University of Innsbruck have reached an important milestone. They are receiving financial support through a special federal funding program. These funds are intended to help the young companies successfully transform their scientific research results into marketable products.
The funding program is managed by Austria Wirtschaftsservice GmbH (aws). It is specifically aimed at start-ups based on scientific research. The transition from the laboratory to the private sector is a major challenge for many founders. The financial aid is intended to secure this initial phase and pave the way for successful business development.
The two spin-offs from Innsbruck were able to convince the experts with their future-oriented projects. With this support, the founders can now make the necessary investments to further develop their technologies. This strengthens not only the individual companies, but also Austria as a research location as a whole.
Overall, this example shows how important the cooperation between universities and state funding agencies is. Such programs ensure that valuable knowledge from research is not lost, but instead provides a real benefit to society and the economy.
