30 Years of the Europa-Forum Wachau: An Anniversary for European Dialogue
The Europa-Forum Wachau will take place in Lower Austria from May 18 to 22, 2026. This year, the event is celebrating a special anniversary: it is being organized for the 30th time. The forum is considered one of the most important platforms for political exchange in Europe.
The event brings together numerous decision-makers from European politics, business, and society. The goal of the forum is to discuss current challenges and work together to find solutions for the future of the European Union. The picturesque Wachau region provides the perfect setting for these important conversations.
Over the past three decades, the Europa-Forum has developed into an integral part of Austrian foreign policy. It serves as a meeting point to discuss topics such as security, economic cooperation, and the further development of the European community. Representatives from various European countries are also expected to attend in order to strengthen dialogue across borders.
This year's anniversary underscores the importance of Lower Austria as a hub for international encounters. The organizers are planning an extensive program that includes both official discussions and informal meetings. In this way, even after 30 years, the forum remains a central place for shaping European policy.
