13 Million Euros for Digital Health in Austria
Austria is investing heavily in the future of medicine. With the new “Digital Health Austria” initiative, a total of 13 million euros is available for innovative projects. The goal of this program is to make the healthcare system more efficient and patient-friendly through modern technology.
Three central partners are behind the project, each taking on specific tasks. Together, they aim to ensure that new ideas quickly find their way into the daily routine of hospitals and medical practices. The first call for funding has already begun, allowing companies and research institutions to submit their concepts.
The focus is on digital solutions that simplify everyday medical life. These could include, for example, new apps that support patients during therapy or systems for better networking of health data. Telemedicine is also being supported to ensure that people in rural regions have easier access to medical specialists.
This investment is an important step for Austria as a business location. By promoting innovation, not only is the quality of medical care improved, but new jobs are also created in the technology sector. Ultimately, it is the citizens who are intended to benefit from more modern and faster medicine.
