Austria Vienna Impresses with Victories in Double-Header Friendlies
The Viennese football club Austria Vienna is currently preparing intensively for the upcoming Bundesliga season. Last weekend, the team from Vienna-Favoriten completed two friendly matches in a single day. These so-called “double tests” are a popular method to get the entire squad fit and to try out different strategies.
In the first match of the day, Austria faced the second-division side SKN St. Pölten. The Viennese team showed a focused performance from the start and controlled the action on the pitch. With goals from Matteo Schablas and Johannes Eggestein, the Bundesliga club secured a well-deserved 2-0 victory against the team from Lower Austria.
The club from the capital also impressed in the second match against FC Admira Wacker. Such friendlies are particularly important for the coaching staff to give all players sufficient playing time. This gave young talents and new signings the chance to prove themselves under competitive conditions and gain important experience.
Following these positive results, Austria Vienna fans are looking forward to the new season with optimism. The victories against regional rivals give the team the necessary confidence for the upcoming challenges in the Bundesliga. Further training sessions and preparatory matches are scheduled for the coming weeks before the championship officially begins.
