Austria's meeting industry records strong growth
The Austrian meeting and congress industry is currently experiencing a remarkable upswing. Current data show that the country has become a significant hub for business gatherings and international events in 2025.
A total of 27,041 events were organized in Austria last year. This high number underscores the location's attractiveness for companies and organizations from both home and abroad. The infrastructure and the geographical location in the heart of Europe play a central role in this.
The economic impact is also clearly noticeable. Around 1.9 million participants attended the various events. This led to a total of 4.3 million overnight stays in Austrian hotels and accommodations, which sustainably strengthens the tourism industry and the service sector in particular.
