Austria to Present Itself with Major Event in Zurich in 2026
The organization Austrian National Tourist Office has announced a new major project. From September 16 to 20, 2026, the Swiss city of Zurich will be entirely dedicated to Austria. Under the motto "Austria Fever," the country aims to present its culture, traditions, and modern lifestyle in Switzerland.
The goal of this five-day event is to bring Austria's diversity directly to the people in the neighboring country. Switzerland is a very important market for the Austrian tourism industry. Many Swiss citizens regularly spend their holidays in the Austrian Alps or visit cultural highlights in cities such as Vienna or Salzburg.
During the event in Zurich, visitors will be able to experience various aspects of Austria firsthand. There will be a diverse program ranging from culinary specialties to cultural performances. This is intended to further strengthen and deepen the close economic and tourism ties between the two countries.
Preparations for this 2026 event have already begun. Recently, the first details of the planning were officially unveiled. For the domestic tourism industry, this event represents an important opportunity to present itself as a hospitable holiday destination and to attract new guests for the future.
