13 Million Euros for Digital Health Innovations in Austria
The Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) has launched a new initiative to strengthen the digital health sector in the country. A total of 13 million euros is available to provide financial support for innovative projects in this field.
The goal of this funding is to advance digitalization within the Austrian healthcare system. The primary focus is on developing new technologies that can make everyday life easier for patients and medical staff. Through this, the FFG aims to promote the research and development of digital solutions that will improve the quality of medical care in the long term.
Companies, research institutions, and start-ups are invited to submit their concepts for digital health innovations. The funded projects are expected to demonstrate how modern technology can be used effectively, for example, to accelerate diagnoses or to make communication between doctors and patients more efficient.
With this investment, Austria underscores its ambition to become a leading location for health technologies in Europe. The financial support is intended to help innovative ideas move more quickly from the laboratory to practical application, thereby offering real added value to the healthcare system.
The submission deadline for funding applications is already open. Experts expect that this measure will create numerous new jobs in the field of medical technology and that the digital infrastructure in the Austrian healthcare system will take an important step forward.
