Slight upward trend on European stock exchanges
The European stock market is showing a friendly side at the beginning of the new trading week. Even though the gains are moderate, investors are looking optimistically at the current developments at the most important trading venues in Europe.
The German benchmark index DAX was able to gain slightly in the morning and is currently trading at 25,857.47 points. This corresponds to an increase of 0.13 percent. Other European indices are also showing positive trends, with the Greek FTSE Athex 20 standing out in particular with a gain of 0.74 percent.
Within the DAX, there is movement primarily among financial stocks. Shares of Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank in particular were able to gain significant value and are leading the list of daily winners. The construction company Hochtief also recorded a price increase of two percent in the morning.
