Austrian detained upon entry into the USA
An unusual incident has caused a stir at a US airport. An Austrian citizen was detained by border authorities upon entering the United States after attempting to enter the country on a tourist visa.
The man caught the attention of officers because he spoke a language that was completely unknown to the security forces. Experts and psychologists who investigated the incident described the man's utterances as a "completely invented and disturbing fantasy language."
Since communication with the traveler was not possible, US authorities initiated a more thorough investigation. It remains unclear whether the man suffers from health issues or if this was a deliberate attempt to confuse the officers.
The incident raises questions regarding security checks at the border. So far, there has been no official statement from the Austrian authorities regarding the case. Local investigations are currently still ongoing.
