Orange Belgium launches a new TV decoder: what you need to know
Telecom operator Orange Belgium has just announced the launch of a brand-new decoder for its television services. This device, designed to be more environmentally friendly, consumes less energy than the previous models used by the brand's customers.
However, the conditions for obtaining this new equipment differ depending on the user's profile. Orange has decided to prioritize this new offering for new customers who sign up for a subscription with the operator.
Existing customers, on the other hand, cannot benefit from this exchange for free. If they wish to obtain this new, higher-performance decoder, they must pay a fee of 49 euros to proceed with the replacement of their old equipment.
This commercial strategy aims to attract new subscribers while gradually modernizing the fleet of devices installed in Belgian homes. For loyal users, the choice therefore remains optional and depends on their interest in new technologies and energy savings.
