Vietnamese intellectuals in Belgium discuss future and cooperation
A group of Vietnamese intellectuals living in Belgium and Luxembourg recently gathered in the municipality of Mol. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the implementation of the so-called 'Resolution 57'. This resolution focuses on strengthening the ties between the Vietnamese community abroad and their home country.
The meeting took place on an autumn morning in the Antwerp Kempen region. Those present discussed how they can use their knowledge and expertise to contribute to the development of Vietnam. Specifically, they looked at ways in which the intellectual community in Europe can build a bridge between both regions.
Resolution 57 is an important policy document for the Vietnamese government. It encourages Vietnamese citizens residing abroad to remain actively involved in national projects. For the participants in Belgium, this is an opportunity to share their professional experience in Europe with academic and business partners in Vietnam.
The meeting in Mol underscores the active role that international communities play in Belgium. Through such consultations, the intellectuals are not only trying to strengthen their own network, but also to contribute to international cooperation in the fields of science and culture.
The organizers look back on the day positively. They hope that this meeting will lead to more concrete projects and closer cooperation between Vietnamese experts in the Benelux and organizations in Vietnam in the future.
