Orange Belgium modernizes its network for over 50,000 customers in Wallonia
The operator Orange Belgium recently announced a major update to its infrastructure in Wallonia. Thanks to the project dubbed "GIGA," the company has modernized its hybrid fiber-coaxial network to improve internet connection quality.
This technological deployment concerns over 50,000 households and businesses located in the Walloon region. The main objective of this initiative is to offer a faster and more stable connection to users, thereby meeting the growing demand for digital data.
The hybrid fiber-coaxial technology allows for the combination of the advantages of fiber optics with existing cables. This technical solution facilitates a significant increase in speed without requiring heavy construction work inside each home.
With this project, Orange Belgium aims to strengthen its position in the telecommunications market in Belgium. This modernization is part of a broader strategy aimed at improving access to ultra-high-speed broadband throughout the Belgian territory.
Customers affected by these improvements should benefit from this new performance starting now. This step marks significant progress for the digital connectivity of residents and professionals in Wallonia.
