Red Devils Victory & Defense Recruitment
Belgium advances to the round of 16 of the World Cup after a hard-fought victory against Senegal. At the same time, the Defense is calling for candidates during the Air Force Days, while the country confirms it will host a world para-hockey tournament in 2026.
Fans can celebrate the Red Devils' qualification for the World Cup round of 16 following their 3-2 victory against Senegal in the round of 32. Trailing during the match, the team turned the situation around thanks to bold tactical choices by coach Rudi Garcia. This success was celebrated in several municipalities, notably in Watermael-Boitsfort where Place Wiener welcomed fans to watch the match.
This national momentum is accompanied by job opportunities: the Defense is currently recruiting new profiles during the Belgian Air Force Days in Florennes. The Air Force is using this event to showcase its professions through flight simulators and information stands, specifying that all types of professional backgrounds are sought to strengthen military personnel.
On a sporting and social level, Belgium will co-organize the first-ever Para Hockey World Cup (field hockey for athletes with disabilities) with the Netherlands. The competition is scheduled for August 20 to 24, 2026.
