New resident at Pairi Daiza: Rothschild giraffe Kali has arrived
Pairi Daiza animal park has a new resident. On Tuesday evening, the two-and-a-half-year-old Rothschild giraffe named Kali arrived safely at the Belgian animal park. The giraffe made the journey from a zoo in Denmark.
Kali is not the only giraffe in the park. At Pairi Daiza, she will be joined by the other giraffes, Oliver and PoléPolé. The park's keepers prepared well for the animal's arrival to ensure the move went as smoothly as possible.
The Rothschild giraffe is a rare subspecies of giraffe. In the wild, this species is found in only a few places, mainly in Kenya and Uganda. Therefore, it is important that zoos work together to protect and preserve the species.
Visitors to Pairi Daiza will soon be able to admire Kali in her new enclosure. The park hopes that the giraffe will quickly feel at home with her new companions. The arrival of Kali is a wonderful addition to the collection of the well-known animal park in Brugelette.
