Basketball: Belgian Lions eliminated after a brave performance against France
The Belgian national basketball team, nicknamed the Belgian Lions, ended their qualifying run this Monday. In an intense encounter, the Belgians faced France, one of the world's top teams. Despite an impressive performance and great determination, Belgium lost with a score of 72 to 80.
It was a significant challenge for the Lions, as the team was missing several key players for this decisive match. Nevertheless, the players on the court showed heroic resistance. They managed to stay close to the French on the scoreboard for much of the game, surprising many observers.
This defeat unfortunately means Belgium's elimination from the current competition. However, sports analysts emphasize that the Lions have nothing to be ashamed of in their performance. Standing up to "Les Bleus" with a depleted squad proves the progress of Belgian basketball on the international stage in recent years.
For Belgian supporters, this match remains a moment of pride despite the final result. The team will now analyze this campaign to prepare for future challenges. The goal remains clear: to continue building a solid group to qualify for future major European and world tournaments.
