The Belgian royal family celebrates the National Day in the heart of the crowd
On the occasion of the Belgian National Day, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde surprised citizens by participating in the popular festivities. Accompanied by their children, they wished to experience this important event as close to the population as possible.
The royal couple was spotted in a relaxed atmosphere during the "Belgium Party." Far from the usual protocol, the members of the royal family mingled with the crowd to share a moment of typically Belgian conviviality.
On the agenda for this outing, the family enjoyed local specialties. They were photographed eating fries and drinking beer, emblems of the country's gastronomic culture, while chatting with the people present at the scene.
This public appearance marked the beginning of a festive evening. After this moment of sharing, the royal family headed to the official site to attend the traditional fireworks display that concludes the July 21st celebrations in Brussels every year.
This gesture of proximity was highly appreciated by the many Belgians present. This sequence illustrates the royal family's desire to strengthen its ties with citizens during major national events.
