Belgian Beer Weekend brings more than 500 beers to the Grand Place in Brussels
This weekend, Brussels is entirely dedicated to Belgian beer culture. During the annual 'Belgian Beer Weekend', dozens of breweries from across the country gather at the Grand Place. Visitors can discover an impressive selection of more than 500 different Belgian beers.
The event is an important tradition for both beer enthusiasts and tourists. The goal of the festival is to highlight the rich history and diversity of our beers. From well-known Trappist beers to unique local creations from small craft brewers, there is something for everyone to discover.
In addition to tasting the beers, there is also a focus on the craftsmanship behind the brewing process. Various brewers are present to explain their methods and the ingredients they use. This makes the festival not only a place for socializing, but also an educational experience for those who want to learn more about the Belgian brewing tradition.
The organization expects thousands of visitors in the heart of the capital again this year. For those planning to stop by, it is useful to know that a token system is used for drinks. The event lasts the entire weekend and is free for the public to attend.
