Orange Belgium modernizes its network for more than 50,000 Walloon households
The telecommunications operator Orange Belgium recently announced an important milestone in the development of its infrastructure. The company has modernized its hybrid fiber and coaxial network in order to improve the quality of the internet connection for its customers.
This project, dubbed "GIGA," concerns more than 50,000 households and businesses located in Wallonia. Thanks to this technical update, users will be able to enjoy a faster and more stable connection, which is essential for current digital uses such as remote work or streaming.
The technology used combines fiber optics and coaxial cable to offer high speeds without requiring heavy work inside each home. This solution allows the operator to respond quickly to the growing demand for internet data in the region.
With this investment, Orange Belgium confirms its desire to strengthen its presence in the Belgian market. This modernization is part of a broader strategy aimed at improving the country's digital coverage and offering higher-performance services to its subscribers.
