New television season begins: what can we expect on the channels?
The summer is slowly coming to an end, which means that the Flemish television channels are preparing for the new autumn season. In the week of August 17 to August 23, 2026, various channels will begin their new programming. For many viewers, this is the moment to note their favorite series and programs in their calendars again.
The coming week will be marked by the start and premiere dates of various productions. Both the public broadcaster and the commercial channels in Flanders have adjusted their schedules to lure viewers back to the screen. The selection is varied, with a mix of new drama series, well-known reality shows, and informative programs that respond to current events.
For television viewers in Belgium, this is an important moment. After the quiet summer months, during which many reruns were shown, the offerings on the channels are being expanded once again. It is therefore advisable for television enthusiasts to keep a close eye on the program guides, as many new series are scheduling their first episodes during this week.
The channels hope to appeal to a broad audience with this new start. Whether you enjoy exciting fiction or prefer watching relaxing programs, the autumn lineup offers something for everyone. The coming days will reveal which new series will capture the hearts of the Flemish audience.
