IKEA brings smart radiator valve to Belgium in January
Starting in January, Belgian consumers will be able to heat their homes more smartly. IKEA is introducing the 'Liljebagge', a smart radiator valve that can be easily attached to existing radiators.
With this new device, users can control the temperature in their home remotely. Via a smartphone app, it is possible to adjust the heating, even when away from home. This is intended to help make household energy consumption more efficient.
The Liljebagge is part of the Swedish home furnishing retailer's growing collection of smart products. The device works with IKEA's smart home system, making it easy to integrate into a home that already uses smart lighting or other equipment.
For many Belgians, this is an interesting development, especially now that energy prices remain an important topic. By controlling heating more precisely, consumers hope to reduce their costs while simultaneously increasing home comfort.
The radiator valves will be available in Belgian stores and online from the beginning of the new year. It is an affordable way for people to modernize their current heating system without the need for an expensive installation.
