Houdemont: Construction of the future hospital begins on June 1st
The project for the future CHR Cœur du Luxembourg hospital has reached a decisive milestone. Starting Monday, June 1st, the first construction machinery will arrive at the Houdemont site. This moment marks the official start of work for this long-awaited healthcare facility.
The first phase of the project involves earthworks. The machines will prepare the ground and move soil to allow for the construction of the foundations. This is an essential technical step before the walls of the future medical buildings can be erected.
Pascal Mertens, one of the project managers, shared his satisfaction with this progress. According to him, the arrival of the machines proves that the project is finally becoming a concrete reality for the region. This new hospital is considered an essential element for modernizing healthcare provision in the province of Luxembourg.
After this initial phase, the actual construction work can begin. Although the site is expected to last several years, this first step is a strong signal for the residents. This major project represents a significant investment in the future of local public health.
