Watching football in Belgium: here is the overview of channels and costs
For many Belgian football fans, it is sometimes difficult to determine where they can watch their favorite matches. The media landscape has changed in recent years, causing football rights to be spread across different providers. A clear overview is therefore essential for anyone who does not want to miss any of the action on the pitch.
Those who enjoy following international football often end up with Telenet. This provider broadcasts matches from the English Premier League and the German Bundesliga, among others. This is good news for fans who want to follow the major European leagues closely from the comfort of their own living room.
In addition to national and foreign leagues, the Champions League is also very popular with Belgian viewers. Telenet broadcasts the vast majority of these prestigious European matches. As a result, subscribers can follow the battle between the best clubs in Europe live via their television or digital platforms.
However, it is important for consumers to look closely at the costs. Because broadcasting rights vary by competition, viewers often have to choose specific sports packages on top of their standard subscription. It therefore pays to compare the different offers before making a choice.
In short, although the selection is wide, watching football in Belgium requires good planning. By checking in advance which channels offer the desired matches, you avoid surprises and can enjoy the new football season undisturbed.
